Two Days National Level Workshop on Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
The CSIR Sponsored Two Days National Level Workshop on Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning is initiated with introduction of chief guest Mr.M.Selvaraju, Director, Hands on Technology Coimbatore, by the Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. 40 participants from 13 institutions were participated and interacted with the chief guest and Resource persons.
Day-1, Session1: Chief Guest briefed about the introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in First Session of Day one. He added a key note that Machine Learning is now a frontier of technology in different sectors - From Automation to speech recognition, from analysis and statistics to data management, every Industry will use ML to avoid errors, consume less time, work efficiently and have ease of work for the employees.
Day-1, Session2: Dr.P.T.Vanathi, Professor, Dept. of ECE, PSGCT, and Coimbatore have addressed the participants about the Supervised learning. Resource person also added a note on Machine Learning which is a new-gen technology that powers and harnesses the latest tech build from different mechanisms and Machine learning is diversifying and evolving with nearly 100,000 new algorithms created every year.
Day-2, Session1: Dr.S.Saravanan, Associate Professor, Dept. of ECE, Jansons Institute of Technology, Coimbatore has addressed the participants about the Unsupervised Learning. He also added a point about Quantum algorithms have the potential to transform and innovate the field of machine learning. It could process data at a much faster pace and accelerate the ability to draw insights and synthesize information.
Day-2, Session2: Dr.J.Ramesh, Professor, Dept.of ECE, PSGCT, Coimbatore has addressed the participants about the Neural Networks & Deep Learning. He stated that, Artificial intelligence (AI), deep learning, and neural networks represent incredibly exciting and powerful machine learning-based techniques used to solve many real-world problems.
Day-2, Session3: Dr.P.Gowtham, Associate Professor, Dept.of ECE, Jansons Institute of Technology, Coimbatore has addressed the participants about the Reinforcement Learning is a Machine Learning method helps to discover which action yields the highest reward over the longer period.
