Speaking on the Automotive Embedded Systems, Dr.Ramakrishnan gave a in-depth idea about the Transmission Control unit, Electronic stability program, airbags, clusters, Engine Management systems used on modern automobiles especially in high end model of cars.  He also presented a useful topic about the sensors used in automotive industries. In course of the presentation he described the working of various sensors such as Knock sensor, Mass flow sensor, Rational sensor, etc . He also touched upon the sensors used for safety, peripheral acceleration of vehicles and obstacles ,wheel speed sensor, central acceleration, occupant weight sensor, steering angle sensor etc . He briefed about the comforts provided for the end users with modern embedded applications.  Comfort Application includes rain sensor(wiper),ultrasonic proximity (to park),climate control sensor(to detect CO2),Range Radar(side park)Video sensing for combined active and passive systems to park.
