Dr. Swami Manohar commenced his talk with a very appropriate explanation for an Engineer.The Chief Guest, Dr. Swamy Manohar laid before the student audience, the following principles:-
            An engineer should be a Constructive,able to Fix things, Solve a real  problem, Use available resources, Always deal with constraints, Beware of cost benefit
With a naïve beginning as an auditor dealing with accounting, this remarkable personage rose to transform himself into a Computer Science Engineer, out of sheer interest and involvement. He designed and brought into existence the Electronic Voting Machine. He also has to his credit the introduction of a Micro-Processsor NC drilling machine, and a high precision PC drilling machine.
His advice to the forthcoming engineers was that each one should take up a mini project like LEDS and Finger Printing. Whatever they bring out as their product of their own individual effort, must carry their own brand name and  if possible patented.
With a motive to inspire the students he gave them novel ideas and hints as to how they could practically evolve whatever they have been exposed to in the classroom through inventive and innovative projects. The meeting concluded with an interaction with the students.
